A paradox is a statement that is seemingly contradictory or opposed to common sense and yet is perhaps true. For example, say you are throwing a ball 10 feet to another person and you know it will eventually get to the other person. It may get there faster or slower depending on how hard you throw the ball. In math you can mark the half point distance, which as a fraction it is 1/2. You can track the ball at 3/4, 8/9, 10/11, and ect. The fraction can always get smaller and never reach a whole number.
In this case by doing the math the ball will never get to the other person you are throwing to. In realality the ball eventually gets to the person. This shows that what is true can be contradicted.
